Your light fixtures are included in your lighting allowance. You will need to select and order all lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, exterior fixtures, etc. by the date given. Remember that the lighting allowance does not include “in-the-wall” items such as recessed lights, bathroom fans, etc.— these items are already included as part of your base bid.

A scheduled meeting at the jobsite is required prior to electrical rough-in. At this meeting, you will review the suggested locations of all recessed lighting (ceiling “cans”). You will also choose locations for phone jacks, cable outlets, etc. (see “Home Specification Sheet” for quantities). If you would like to add floor receptacles, specialty outlets or lighting, etc. (additional charge), they will also need to be located at this time. 

An approved lighting vendor has been included in your supplier list. It is recommended that you meet with the lighting vendor either at your project site or with an accurate count of all fixtures that are needed. 

As lighting suppliers may require a substantial lead time, please order and “sign-off” on all lighting selections by the date given. As with all allowance items, any overages must be paid directly to the vendor/supplier as a deposit, prior to the ordering of said items.
